I am happy to announce that the underlying technology behind Vu1′s ESL bulbs has been selected for a landmark presentation in June at the International Symposium on the Science and Technology of Lighting.
Hosted by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Lighting Research Center, the Symposium (called LS13 for short) brings together engineers, scientists and designers from the lighting industry and research and academic organizations from across the world.
A paper co-authored by myself and U.C. Davis researcher Charles Hunt, titled, “High-Quality, Energy-Efficient and Affordable Light Source using Cathodoluminescent Phosphors,” is what caught the attention of the symposium organizers.
To be selected as a “landmark presentation” is no small feat; it means the paper will be featured in a 15-minute oral presentation to the entire grouping.
